Rachella Thomas

Rachella Thomas is a large-scale public event producer with a strong local reputation and over 17 years experience producing high-impact events for business, government, not for profit and community.

Prior to establishing Event Kit, Rachella worked in senior management roles with renowned organisations such as the State Government of Victoria, Wyndham City Council, Oxfam Australia, Arts Victoria, University of Melbourne, Melbourne Food and Wine, and St Vincent's Hospital.

Rachella capacity to conceive, develop and deliver large-scale event concepts contributed to award wins in the Victorian Tourism Awards 'Hall of Fame - Major Festivals and Events' 2010 and 'Major Festivals and Events' 2008/2009 for Melbourne Food and Wine Festival; 'CEO Award for Innovation and Customer Experience' at the Royal Melbourne Show Commercial Exhibitors Awards for the State Government of Victoria.

Event Kit's achievements gained recognition as Finalist in 'Tourism & Hospitality' and 'Micro Business' at the Powercor Geelong Business Excellence Awards 2017.

Rachella shares her knowledge in mentoring and leadership roles such as, Awards Judge for Service Skills Victoria's Developing Tourism Leaders Award, Director of Strange Fruit Company, and student mentor at William Angliss Institute.
